The Arab American Community
Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS) looks forward to
hosting the 5th National Conference on Health Issues in the Arab American
Community. This conference continues the fine tradition established
in 1998 and continues to affirm our strong commitment to prevent disease,
reduce health disparities, and promote wellness in the community at
large. Strategically designed, the conference offers medical practitioners,
public health, and mental health professionals an academic forum to
showcase their research, health programs and activities and to interact
with peers who have similar interests and focus. The conference themes
are lined with the US Surgeon General’s report, “Healthy
People 2010”, which outlines for the nation goals for disease
control and health promotion. ACCESS is committed to contributing
to the realization of these goals by implementing strategies and continuing
to focus and strengthen its health and educational programs.
